Tom aka OneMan has spent quite a few years working on Hip Hop projects, collaborating with a variety of Emcees.
I have always had an original approach to Hip Hop and he began by using live instruments exclusively. Another avenue I explored was the traditional sampling method using old vinyl records to capture sections that would make a catchy loop, then writing additional parts to make the tunes hit harder. I also use Audio-Instruments to give clean sound production, a technique which is enjoyed by most fans of Hip Hop. My subsequent Hip Hop tunes are written creating catchy loops from scratch, with drum beats that together create smooth fresh music. The collection of instrumentals in this Hip Hop section are evidence of this approach, and I am looking forward to working with other musicians to create the finished article.
